Tinderbox Publishing
An Independent Imprint

Books that spark something.

Illustrated nonfiction, cozy coloring, and children's stories — made by hand, made to last.

A small fire in a small box.

Tinderbox Publishing is an independent imprint producing illustrated books across three lines: a nonfiction series on human flourishing, original children's stories with characters worth keeping, and coloring books designed for actual rest.

We publish in print through Amazon KDP. We work in small batches, with a consistent visual language across the catalog, and we believe there is still room in the world for quiet, considered books.

Series in print and forthcoming.

The Science of Flourishing

Illustrated nonfiction — nine volumes

A practical, illustrated series on the foundations of a good life: positive psychology, movement, nutrition, the nervous system, relationships, financial wellness, cognition, emotional intelligence, and environment.

Thimble Hollow

Children's series — twelve parts

An allegorical world of rag dolls, kept gardens, and small bravery. For readers who liked the quiet bits of the books they grew up with.

The Capybara & Axolotl Stories

Children's picture books

Original stories about emotional resilience for younger readers, featuring two unlikely friends and the small troubles they meet together.

Art Nouveau Coloring

Therapeutic coloring

Original line work in the Art Nouveau tradition — flowing botanicals, ornamental panels, and ornate borders intended for slow, restorative coloring.

Cozy Coloring

Lifestyle coloring

Subjects with a sense of humor: cats with opinions, true crime parlor scenes, and other small worlds for the colored-pencil set.
